Acrylic
I produce my own acrylic paint - it has been
my primary painting medium since 1960. Generally I work on canvas
and make my own stretcher frames. Sizes range from about 2' X 3
½' to about 6' X 9'. The paintings that I have done in the past
11 years average 5' X 6' and necessitate adequate wall space. I
consider these works akin to novels in that they are very involved,
take a great deal of time to produce, (I generally do no more than
10 each year, often less), and are the result of many preliminary
studies. With few exceptions the canvas is wrapped around the edges
and painted, sometimes as a continuation of the work, sometimes
as a single border color.
The works displayed here are untitled. All have
